why rent a hive?

HIVE RENTAL wITH BEEhAVINN
Contact us to arrange renting a hive or hives for your section or property. We have both long term & short term options available and are able to cater to private, commercial or corporate properties.
Prices start from $55.00 per month and can go up depending on the site and the distance from vehicle. All feeding and mite treatments are covered — there is no extra cost to the client.
About hive rental
The Hive hardware, the Bees and the Honey will remain the property of BeeHavinn.
If required, BeeHavinn will maintain the area with a weed eater about 1 meter around the hive/s.
We will register the hive site with the authority that are responsible for disease management and deregister on at the end of the contract.
BeeHavinn will supply you with some honey each year.
We will place a hive or hives on your site/property. Please note we will require the property owner’s permission and if you have a roof top garden with easy access in the city, we are prepared to look at it for you.
We will look after the hive and welfare of the bees including pest and disease management.
We are happy to remove the hive if it is not a good fit for you.
GST invoices can be supplied.
Going away on holiday or a work trip? BeeHavinn have hive maintenance plans available with long term or short term options.
We can do the servicing on the beehive\s hardware and around your Beehive/s and apiary as well as sourcing the necessary parts if required. As well as in the cold mouths we can do temporary repairs so you do not loss the heat in the hive so you or we can replace the necessary parts in the warmer mouths.
HIVE REPAIRS & MAINTENANCE
Checking Hives
Hive Maintenance includes checking the hive/s on a regular basis. This can include feeding or treating the hives at an extra cost.

Short term and winter repairs so hive doesn’t get too cold.
Includes: Checking your hive/s on a regular basis depending on the time of year, with all extras covered i.e. Sugar Syrup, Mite Strips and Pollen Patties if required.

REPAIRS
We can replace parts of the hive that need replacing but if the weather is to cold like in winter, we can do temporary repair to help keep the hive warm over the winter and do a proper repair when the weather is warmer and dryer.
Looking after your hives
If you are going away for work or play or just don’t have the time to look after the bees, be it long or short term, we are willing to help.
From just checking the hive only to Vaping on an ongoing basis and or just feeding them if required.
